About Lauren Simpson

Lauren Simpson is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Houston Law Center. When she is not teaching Lawyering Skills and Strategies, she is transforming her Houston home gardens into a Certified Wildlife Habitat (National Wildlife Federation), a Monarch Waystation (Monarch Watch, Waystation No. 10925), and a Certified Butterfly Garden (North American Butterfly Association).  She spends her "free time" promoting pollinator conservation and wildscaping through state and local presentations, events, articles and interviews.

As if all of that is not enough, this "busy bee" is also building her online, educational community, “St. Julian’s Crossing-wildlife habitat." (https://www.facebook.com/St-Julians-Crossing-wildlife-habitat-1609337762653792/) Ms. Simpson is an active member of the Native Plant Society of Texas (Houston Chapter), the North American Butterfly Association (Butterfly Enthusiasts of Southeast Texas Chapter), and her neighborhood gardening group, the Oak Forest Community of Gardeners. Reading her brief biography, you might think she started decades ago, but it's only been a few years! She can't wait to share her tips and tricks for ransforming your home garden, too.
