"The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies."

Free Community Day

Everyone is invited to COMMUNITY DAY at the Wild Gardening Festival, Saturday, April 18, 2020, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

There is so much to learn and do!  Crafts, games and all kinds of beneficial plant activities will take place outdoors to promote the appreciation and understanding of the vital role native plants play in the health of our planet, survival of wildlife, and quality of life for all.

Vendors and exhibits will be set up in the Visitor's Pavilion and in the gardens for all to enjoy on this special day, which will double as our annual Earth Day celebration.

Your Participation Helps Save Our Natural Treasures

Each year, the National Butterfly Center provides engaging environmental education programs to thousands of children in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Proceeds from the Wild Gardening Festival support these high-quality, conservation programs and sustain the growth and productivity of our nursery.

Sponsor Community Day and your financial contribution will enhance our educational exhibits, purchase equipment and provide supplies needed to advance our goal of #GoodHabitatForming everywhere. If you would like to support our efforts, call 956.583.5400 today!

Volunteers Needed!

If you are interested in donating your time as a volunteer, please contact us at [email protected], or at 956.583.5400.
